Registration conditions
1. Registrations are possible from 01.12.2016 to 04.01.2017 at 16:00 exclusively on the Internet at www.hornschlitten.de.
2. The registration form must be filled out completely, the registration of all four team members by name is absolutely necessary.
3. The successful registration can be viewed on the Internet on the current start list.
4. The entry fee of 40,- Euro is to be paid in cash at the sled acceptance on 6.01.2017 from 9 – 11 o’clock.

Conditions of participation / eligibility
5. the winner of the challenge cup is the fastest sled of the day in the women’s and men’s class.
6. the Bavarian champion and winner of the porcelain lion is the fastest sled with 4 Bavarian riders.
7. places 4-25 receive non-cash prizes
8. All participants receive a certificate and take part in the raffle with valuable prizes free of charge. Conditions of participation / eligibility
9. The participants of a team must be at least 18 years old.
10. Each participant may only start for one team.
11. The waiver must be signed by all 4 participants of a team and handed in at the start number distribution on 06.01.2017, between 9 and 11 am.
12Wearing a helmet is mandatory for all participants during the run.
13. The entire sled crew may only wear hiking or mountain boots (no ski boots) with a non-slip, commercially available rubber sole (e.g. Vibram). Iron or plastic plates, steel edges, spikes, wax coating or similar modifications to the footwear are prohibited.
13. Only experienced and non-alcoholic participants may start.
14. The horn sled must comply with the provisions of the sled design, this will be checked by the jury at the sled inspection (see sled design).
15. Sleds that do not comply with the “Werdenfels design” will not be permitted for the general classification or for the Horn Sled Cup. These teams may still start, but in a separate class.
16. Mixed teams may start, but will then be classified in the men’s category.
17. Compliance with the regulations will be checked at the start or finish. Violations will lead to disqualification. Construction of the sled (see sketches PDF)
19. The sled must be made of wood in its essential components. Exception: fittings, runners and lower part of the paws.
20. Every part of the sled must be firmly connected and must not be movable. Rubber mountings etc. are prohibited. Sleds whose runners are movable and twistable (see luge) are not permitted.
21. The rails must be made of iron or steel. Wedge, hollow or bevel grinding as well as a plastic coating or painting of the rail are prohibited. The rails must not protrude beyond the sled rim. Rail width: max. 5 cm, rail thickness: max. 1.5 cm, rail inclination: max. 15 degrees. The rail must extend to the end of the sled runner, but may be bent upwards by a maximum of 1 cm at the end. Warming up the runners is not permitted.
22. Braking device/paws: The sled must be equipped with effective paws for immediate braking, with hardwood handles. The lower part must be made of iron. The pawls must be operable from the handlebars of the sled (see sketch). The pawls/brakes must correspond to the picture in the sketch, no deflectors etc. welded on, no protruding parts.
23. Only 2 wooden tips at the end of the sled are permitted as push aids. Measured from the ground, they must not be higher than 110 cm and must not protrude beyond the end of the sled. Fixed or fold-out grab rails at the upper end of the tip are not permitted. Other pushing aids, pull or holding bars are not permitted.
24. Each sled will be checked for the above regulations during the sled inspection on 06.01.2017, between 9 and 11 am. Sledges can already be inspected and approved on 05.01. (15-16 hrs) (Horschlittenhütte). At the start and finish, sledges and footwear will be checked for any subsequent changes.
Implementation regulations
25. The start numbers will be allocated at the start number draw on 4.1.2017 from 19:00 at Gasthof Schatten (www.gasthof-schatten.de).
26. The start number must be clearly visible on the handlebars and must not be handed over.
27. The specified start order must be observed, all sledges must be pushed to the start area themselves by 12:00.
28. On the course, a slower sledge must make way for the faster one in good time so that it does not hinder it. In case of non-compliance, the obstructing sled will be disqualified. This provision also applies analogously to sleds that break on the course.
33. The instructions of the judges, course marshals and the organizer must be followed, violations can lead to disqualification.
Protest
34. If a team feels disadvantaged during the competition, it has the right to protest.
35. Protests can be submitted verbally or in writing by the team manager to the race director or the jury no later than 10 minutes after the end of the race for a protest fee of € 30.00.
36. The jury’s decision in protest matters is final and incontestable.
37. The protest fee must be refunded in full if the protest was decided in favor of the protesters. Otherwise the protest fee is forfeited in favor of the organizer. Miscellaneous
38. All participants ride at their own risk and waive all claims against HSVP or its team members.
Viewing instructions
1. please follow the instructions of the track staff at all times.
2. spectators are not allowed to stand in the areas closed to them.
3. the track may only be entered with suitable footwear (not gritted).
4. children may not stand directly at the edge of the race track.
5Dogs must be kept on a leash.
6. Only enter the race course during the breaks after loudspeaker announcements.
7. The organizer declines all liability for damages suffered by spectators before, during or after the event in direct or indirect connection with the event. The organizer HSVP e.V.
