The Fun-Sport-Gemeinschaft Tegernseer Tal e.V. is once again involved in Zipflbob sport this year and is taking part in the 3 Zipflbob categories with its members.

Zipflbob Cross

The Fun-Sport-Gemeinschaft Tegernseer Tal e.V. is starting the Zipflbob season with the reigning world champion in “Zipflbob-Cross”, Liesi Eckstein from Gaißach (near Bad Tölz). Liesi Eckstein won the title in Flachau (Salzburg) in 2010, making her the first female world champion in this sport. She also successfully defended her title in 2012. This means that the Fun-Sport-Gemeinschaft Tegernseer Tal e.V. will have a racer capable of winning at the start of the 2013 Zipflbob Cross season.

Zipflbob Downhill

The Zipflbob Downhill is a race against the clock. The Zipflbob racers have to race down a marked out downhill course with generously spaced gates (just like in alpine skiing competitions) in the shortest possible time. Often there are also routes where the slope is almost “shot” and curves are largely dispensed with. The Fun-Sport-Gemeinschaft Tegernseer Tal e.V. will also be competing here and is hoping for good placings in the Zipflbob races.

Zipflbob Cross Country

Cross-country is the term used for unprepared slopes such as those found on hiking trails or off the usual ski slopes. Here it may also be that you have to complete some sections “running” and or overcome obstacles such as tree trunks or similar – freestyle.

Purpose and objectives of the Fun-Sport-Gemeinschaft Tegernsser Tal e.V.

Fun-Sport-Gemeinschaft… that sounds suspiciously like a fun club! That’s right! The enjoyment of unusual sports and leisure activities will always be our main focus!

In accordance with our articles of association, we want to organize and hold “fun sport events” in the Tegernsee Valley from time to time and donate the proceeds to a good cause. In accordance with our statutes, the donations go to charitable and/or benevolent corporations and organizations as well as other non-profit associations, all of which have their sphere of activity in the Tegernsee Valley.

Roughly speaking, we generate a donation sum of around 1,000.00 euros per year for those in the Tegernsee Valley who either need it or use it sensibly to help themselves. We have fun, others are helped! Fun. Club. With heart.
