The author remembers his childhood in the 1970s and asks himself the questions “what happened to the mini bob?”. The mini bob was produced and distributed as a licensed product in the USA at that time – however, the shape of the mini bob “Zipfybob” proved to be very difficult in the very conversational USA. As a result, sales activities in the USA were ended very early on and licensed production was discontinued.
For a few years now, however, the mini bob has been copied in the USA and Canada and reproduced almost 1:1 by manufacturers and simply sold under different brand names and marketed as a great innovation…
