Registration conditions
\n1. Registrations are possible from 01.12.2017 to 04.01.2018 at 16:00 exclusively on the Internet at www.hornschlitten.de.
\n2. The registration form must be completed in full and all four team members must be registered by name.
\n3. Successful registration can be viewed on the current start list on the Internet.
\n4.The entry fee of EUR 40 must be paid in cash at the sled inspection on 06.01.2018 from 9 – 11 am.
\nPrizes
\nMen: 1st place – EUR 800 2nd place – EUR 600 3rd place – EUR 400
\nWomen: 1st place – EUR 400 2nd place – EUR 300 3rd place – EUR 200
\n5. The winner of the challenge cup is the fastest sled of the day in the women’s and men’s classes.
\nThe 6th Bavarian champion and winner of the Porcelain Lion is the fastest sled with 4 Bavarian riders.
\n7. places 4-25 receive non-cash prizes
\n8. All participants receive a certificate and take part in the raffle with valuable prizes free of charge.
\nConditions of participation \/ eligibility
\n9. The participants of a team must be at least 18 years old.
\n10. each participant may only start for one team.
\n11. the waiver must be signed by all 4 participants of a team and handed in at the start number distribution on 06.01.2018,
\nbetween 9 and 11 am.
\n12. the wearing of a helmet is compulsory for all participants during the ride.<\/p>\n
13. The entire sled crew may only wear hiking or mountain boots (no ski boots) with a non-slip, commercially available rubber sole (e.g. Vibram).
\nIron or plastic plates, steel edges, spikes, wax coating or similar modifications to the footwear are prohibited.
\n13. Only experienced and non-drunk participants may start.
\n14The horn sled must comply with the regulations of the sled construction type, this will be checked by the jury during the sled inspection (see construction type of the sled).
\n15. Sleds that do not comply with the “Werdenfelser construction type” will not be admitted to the general classification. These teams may still start, but in<\/x>a separate class.<\/x>16. Mixed teams may start, but will then be classified in the men’s category.<\/x>17. Compliance with the regulations will be checked at the start or finish. Violations will lead to disqualification.<\/x>Construction of the sled (see sketches)<\/x>18. Only horn sleds in traditional “Werdenfelser construction” are allowed to start. The specified dimensions may neither be exceeded nor fallen short of.
\n19. The sled must be made of wood in its essential components. Exception: fittings, runners and lower part of the paws.
\n20. Every part of the sled must be firmly connected and must not be movable. Rubber mounts etc. are prohibited. Sledges whose runners are movable and twistable
\n(see luge) are not permitted. <\/p>\n21 The rails must be made of iron or steel. Wedge, hollow or bevel grinding as well as a plastic coating or painting of the rail are prohibited. The rails
\nmust not protrude beyond the sled rim. Rail width: max. 5 cm, rail thickness: max. 1.5 cm, rail inclination: max. 15 degrees. The rail
\nmust extend to the end of the sled runner rim, but can be bent upwards by max. 1 cm at the end. Warming up the runners is not permitted.<\/x>22. Braking device\/paws: The sled must be equipped with effective paws for immediate braking, with hardwood handles. The lower part must<\/x>be made of iron. The pawls must be operable from the handlebars of the sled (see sketch). The pawls\/brakes must correspond to the picture in the sketch, no<\/x>deflectors etc. welded on, no protruding parts.<\/x>23. Only 2 wooden tips at the end of the sled are permitted as push aids. Measured from the ground, they must not be higher than 110 cm and must not protrude beyond the end of the sled<\/x>. Fixed or fold-out grab rails at the upper end of the tip are not permitted. Other push aids, pull or holding bars are
\nnot permitted.
\n24. Each sled will be checked for the above regulations at the sled inspection on 06.01.2018, between 9 and 11 am. Already on 05.01. (15-16 o’clock)
\nsledges can be inspected and approved (Horschlittenh\u00fctte). At the start and finish, sledges and footwear will be checked for any subsequent changes
\n.
\nImplementation regulations
\n25. The start numbers will be allocated at the start number draw on 04.01.2018 from 7 pm at Gasthof Schatten (www.gasthof-schatten.de).
\n26. The start number must be clearly visible on the sled and must not be handed over.
\n27. The specified start order must be adhered to, all sleds must be pushed to the start area themselves by 12 noon.
\n28. On the course, a slower sled must make way for the faster sled in good time so that it does not hinder the faster sled. In case of non-compliance
\nthe obstructing sled will be disqualified. This provision also applies mutatis mutandis to sleds that break on the course.
\n29. The time measurement is stopped as soon as the sled touches the finish line.
\n30. In the case of horn sleds whose crew does not reach the finish line at the same time, the arrival of the last team member is stopped.
\n31. In the event of equal times, the higher starting number determines the ranking. <\/p>\n32. 5 seconds extra time for each gate fault
\n33. The instructions of the judges, marshals and the
\norganizer must be followed, violations can lead to
\ndisqualification.
\nProtest
\n34. If a team feels disadvantaged during the competition
\n, it has the right to protest.
\n35. protests can be submitted verbally or in writing by the team manager
\nto the race director or the jury no later than 10 minutes after the end
\nof the race for a protest fee
\nof 30,- \u20ac.
\n36. the decision of the jury in protest matters is final
\nand incontestable.
\n37. the protest fee is to be refunded in full if
\nthe protest was decided in favor of the protesters.
\nOtherwise the protest fee will be forfeited in favor of the organizer.
\nMiscellaneous
\n38. Each participant rides at his\/her own risk and waives
\nany claims against HSVP or its
\nteam members.<\/p>\n
