https:\/\/www.fubsi.de\/fileadmin\/Webdata\/FUBSI_Zipflbob_2019_Flyer_13.09.pdf<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\nAfter the FUBSi organizing committee unfortunately had to cancel the Zipflbob race 2018 due to weather conditions, we are starting a new attempt with the 1st Zipflbob race on 06.01.2019. The meeting point for all tobogganing enthusiasts is on 06.01.2019 from 12 noon at the G\u00f6gerl, provided the weather conditions allow it, i.e. frost is a must. If necessary, the FUBSIs will make the snow themselves. <\/p>\n\n
Anyone can take part, participation is free of charge. Registration <\/x>takes place online at www.sog-events.de by 06.01.2019 12.00 or at <\/x>G\u00f6gerl in the finish area below on 06.01.2019 from 10.00 to 12.00. The \ndistribution of start numbers – divided into children, young people and adults\n – will take place between 12.00 and 13.00. A good mood is desirable, \na helmet is necessary, as helmets are compulsory. If you have a Zipflbob \nor toboggan, bring it with you. If you don’t have one, you can buy a Zipflbob at the <\/x>start for 25 euros; while stocks last. The <\/x>co-organizer, Stadtwerke Weilheim, is selling 50 Zipflbobs. They will donate the \ntotal amount, which would be 1,250 euros, to a social \ninstitution. \n<\/p>\n\nThe tobogganing competition starts at 13:00. There are several classes, <\/x>graded according to age – children 4-12 years; teenagers 13-17 years and <\/x>adults as well as male and female. Medals will be awarded to<\/x> places 1-3. As with the FUBSI Silvesterlauf, <\/x>the professional sports organizer Sog-Events will again be responsible for timekeeping. Everyone is responsible for their own food and \ndrink; hot tea will be provided by the FUBSI team, as \nunfortunately the G\u00f6gerlwirtschaft is still closed \n. \n<\/p>\n\nFor the fun of it and to set a recreational sporting accent at \n, the FUBSI organizing team sends the Zipflbob race to the starting line. \n“If it goes down well, we want to hold it again next year,” say\n the FUBSI organizers. FUBSI stands for “Freizeit- und \nBreitensportinitiative” and tobogganing is simply a popular sport. \n<\/p>\n\n
“In terms of the weather, there are three scenarios: 1. there are no \nsub-zero temperatures, then the Zipflbob race is canceled; 2. there are sub-zero temperatures but\n no or too little snow, then the FUBSIs snow up; 3. there are \nsub-zero temperatures and sufficient natural snow, then everything is fine. If <\/x>snow has to be produced technically, this is done at the top of the slope.<\/x> The snow is sprayed with a snow lance, distributed manually on the slope <\/x>and trampled down with skis. After the start numbers have been handed out in the \nvalley, you first walk up to the start, to warm up, so to speak. And<\/x> then back down one by one during the race. It’s all about normal \ntobogganing fun, just like it usually takes place on the G\u00f6gerl,” emphasize the \nFUBSI organizers. Everything is planned so far. Now all that remains is to <\/x>hope that the temperatures are in line with the season. So for now, the \nexcitement and anticipation remain intact. <\/p>\n\nOn January 6th (Epiphany) the premiere of the “FUBSI \nZIPFLBOBRENNEN” will take place in Weilheim OBB. at the G\u00f6gerl. Provided \nthere is enough snow, of course. <\/p>\n\n
Anyone can take part, whether young, old, sporty or someone who just \nwants to have fun on this tobogganing experience. \nThe only condition: Helmet compulsory!<\/p>\n\n
